What is Notion analytics?
Notion analytics is the process of analysing the structure, activity and relationships inside a Notion workspace. It can show what changed, which initiatives lack owners, how work connects to objectives and where information has become stale or disconnected.
The usual meaning: page analytics
Most tools described as Notion analytics count page views, visitors and edits. That tells you which documents get opened. It is a usage measure, closer to website analytics than to understanding your organisation.
What InThreads measures instead
InThreads reads the structure of your workspace — objectives, initiatives, projects, risks, owners and the links between them — and reports on how coherent and current that picture is. Not traffic. Organisational understanding.
Your organisation already has the information. It is just difficult to see.

- What is Notion analytics?
- Notion analytics is the process of analysing the structure, activity and relationships inside a Notion workspace. It can show what changed, which initiatives lack owners, how work connects to objectives, and where information has become stale or disconnected.
- Does Notion include built-in analytics?
- Notion provides page-level activity and, on some plans, workspace analytics such as page views and edit history. Those tools describe how pages are used. They do not assess how your objectives, initiatives, projects and risks relate to one another, or where ownership and measurement are missing.
- Can InThreads see changes made in Notion?
- Yes. InThreads reads the last-edited timestamps and editors that Notion exposes for the pages and databases you have shared, and presents them as a readable stream of meaningful change. Fresh workspace data is retrieved when InThreads syncs — there is no webhook-driven or real-time push today.
- Does InThreads modify my Notion workspace?
- No. The integration is read-only. InThreads never creates, edits, moves or deletes pages, databases or properties. Your Notion content stays in Notion.
- Can I connect multiple Notion databases?
- Yes. During the Notion authorisation step you choose which pages and databases InThreads can access, and you can select several — for example separate databases for objectives, initiatives, projects and risks. You can change that selection later by reconnecting from your account page.
- What information does InThreads analyse?
- Page and database titles, properties, owners and assignees, last-edited timestamps, and the links between pages. Those signals are used to build the relationship graph, the health assessment and the activity pulse.
- How is InThreads different from a Notion dashboard?
- A dashboard shows the views and rollups you build and maintain yourself. InThreads reads your existing structure and interprets it: it surfaces objectives without linked initiatives, initiatives without owners, work that has gone stale, and outcomes with no measure attached — without you designing a view for each question.
- Is my Notion access token secure?
- Access tokens are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM and are only decrypted server-side when your workspace is read. Each connection is scoped to the account that created it, and disconnecting from your account page deletes the stored token.
